PMU Brows

Micropigmentaton, also known as cosmetic tattooing, semi-permanent makeup (SPMU), or permanent makeup (PMU), is a specialist treatment designed to enhance natural facial features. Micro-deposits of pigment are implanted into the upper dermis of the skin to add long-lasting colour and definition.

Common treatment areas include the eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips, using a digital machine with fine needles to achieve precise, natural-looking results. Results typically last 12–24 months, gradually fading over time and requiring periodic top-ups.

A consultation and patch test are required prior to treatment to ensure safety and suitability.

There are three different styles available, allowing each treatment to be fully tailored to you.

Combination

£450

Combination Brows blend realistic hair-like strokes with soft machine shading to create beautifully defined, balanced brows. Delicate strokes are placed at the front of the brow using a tattoo machine, while pixelated shading is added through the body and tail for depth and structure.

This technique can be tailored to achieve a soft, natural finish or a more defined look, making it one of the most popular permanent makeup brow treatments.

Machine Hairstrokes

£450

This technique uses a digital machine to create fine, hair-like strokes, resulting in the most natural-looking style of permanent makeup for the brows. It enhances the appearance of existing brows by giving the illusion of fuller, more defined brow hairs.

Ideal for those with naturally fuller brows and small areas of sparseness, or for clients with finer brows who want the look of added hairs without shading.

Ombré

£450

This technique uses machine shading only, with no added hair strokes, to create a soft, powdered brow effect. The brows begin with lighter shading at the front, gradually deepening through the body and tail for added structure and definition.

Ideal for those who want a more polished, structured brow, this style can be tailored to achieve a natural finish or a bolder look, depending on your preference.

All new sets above include a 6-8 week touch-up session.

Please note: If there is any previous permanent makeup on the treatment area, we may not be able to carry out this service; pre-approval will be required. Please contact us to discuss before booking.

A thorough consultation to understand each client's needs and preferences, ensuring a customised treatment that delivers natural-looking results.

Treatment

We use high-quality, sterile equipment and follow strict safety guidelines to ensure a safe, comfortable experience. Treatments typically last 2 to 3 hours.

Top Up

A top-up session  6-8 weeks after the initial treatment is recommended to achieve the desired colour and shape, ensuring long-lasting, quality results.

Colour Booster

Over time, colour can fade due to factors such as sun exposure or skincare products. A colour booster can help refresh the look of the permanent makeup.

Frequently Asked Questions

PMU related questions

What is permanent makeup?

The permanent makeup (PMU) procedure is the process of implanting micro-deposits of pigment into the upper dermis layer of the skin. This is a form of cosmetic tattooing used for the purpose of permanent cosmetic makeup. A hand held tool known as a micro-blade, or a machine which uses small needles are used to penetrate the skin and create long lasting cosmetic makeup.

How long does it last?

This can vary per individual but on average PMU brows last between 1-2 years before needing a maintenance session.

How long will the appointment take?

PMU brow treatment requires two appointments. The first appointment is where the full treatment is carried out, and the second is your required top up session which will take place 6-8 weeks later. The first appointment will last between 2-3 hours depending on the style selected. Your top up session will be shorter as we will only work over the areas that have faded through the healing process and require more pigment. This is known as the perfection session.

Is it painful?

The PMU procedure should never be unbearable. Generally, our clients are comfortable throughout their appointment. You can expect to feel scratching, stinging or tenderness. Numbing cream is optional and can be applied.

How will they look/feel immediately after treatment?

You may experience redness, swelling, irritation and tenderness immediately after treatment. These usually subside within a few days. Immediately after treatment and the next 1-2 days your brows will get darker. This is completely normal and is due to the excess pigment sitting on top of the skin. This will subside as the skin begins to repair itself.

What is the healing process like?

After each procedure there will be a healing time of 4-6 weeks. For the first 2 weeks the skin will heal externally. During this time it is important not to get the brows wet at all. An aftercare ointment must be applied 3 times a day for at least 7 days, or longer, until the skin has healed and is free from any scabs. Scabs/ crust will form and these will fall off when they are ready. You must not pick or peel these off. When the scabs come away, pigment will likely look faded which is completely normal. The pigment resurfaces around 4 weeks after the procedure. This is where true healed results can be seen.

I have no brow hair, am I able to get this done?

Yes! Providing you don't have any contraindicated medical conditions or are taking any medication which would prevent us from performing this procedure on you.

I’m not sure on the difference between PMU brow styles, can you explain them?

There are 3 styles of PMU brows to choose from:

Machine hairstrokes -This technique creates hair like strokes, the most natural style of permanent makeup on the brows. This style gives the appearance of more brow hairs. Ideal for those who already have thick brow hairs and have small areas of sparseness, of those with finer brows wanting the illusion of more hairs only.

Combination - A combination of hair strokes and machine shading are used to create an illusion of real hairs at the front of the brows, through to a more defined look through the arch and tail of the brow with machine shading. This can be natural or bold.

Ombre - Machine method using a needle to implant pigment. Pixels are built throughout the brow, these are darker from the tail to the middle of the brows, and softer at the front to create an ombré effect. This can be natural or bold.

I dont want my brows to look unnatural unnaural, is this possible?

Yes! All of the PMU brow styles can be catered to you and what look you desire. We have a range of pigment colours to choose from also.
